How to have a great audit?
Basically in order to have a good relationship--almost in every relationship--what we need first is honesty, then understanding, next will be easier to make. When we talk about honesty in a company, it covers a lot of aspects. Equality, transparency and clear regulation and procedures, fair treatments (either punishments and rewards) starting from the top of the management until the lowest level in the organization structure. It is the foundation to build respect and togetherness. Start from the bottom, goes up to the leader.
When you have the honesty, the respect from you staff, you need to develop it to build the spirit and lead the people to the achieve the company's goal. Along with the employee's trust, they will give their effort to accomplish the goal. The procedures that had been agreed should be implemented to all levels in the organization.
If the company run their procedure well, nothing hidden, transparency and integrity are upheld, then when the external auditors come to do the audit, the company could welcome them in peace. Anything required during the audit could be given and, because the procedures are implemented well and according to the system, the constraints and friction that usually happen between the external auditors and company could be minimized.
